In Steves own words .....
"I play bass and make records. I catch flies with my bare hands. Phil Vassar still hates my coffee. He really hates my coffee."
From Virginia Beach, Steve Cook at age 13, armed with $100, he went to the local pawn shop and purchased his first bass. He hasn’t looked back since. Steve is the bassist for Phil Vassar, where he made headlines for not only his great bass playing but his surprise on stage proposal to his wife.
Nashville based Steve plays regularly in the homeland of American music and when he is not playing he can be found featuring in episodes of ABC's hit show Nashville.
A bonifide bass oracle Steve is not only an accomplished player but also a wealth of knowledge on equipment and playing techniques.
All of that as well as being one of the happiest guys in the industry!
Seriously, Steve, do you ever frown?
